How it works
Common questions

Frequently asked

What is ShowDayGuide?

ShowDayGuide is a mobile-first digital companion platform for UK agricultural, county, country and dog shows. Visitors get an interactive map, live schedule with reminders, GPS location, real-time announcements and the show's full programme — all from a web link, with no app to download.

Do visitors need to download an app?

No. ShowDayGuide opens straight in any modern web browser. Visitors scan a QR code on the programme or follow a link, and the show guide loads on their phone immediately. No app store, no sign-up, no account required.

Does it work without phone signal?

Yes. Once the show page loads at the gate, the map, schedule, vendor listings and programme are stored on the visitor's phone. Even when 5,000 people saturate the cellular signal at a busy show, the guide keeps working. Live announcements need signal to arrive in real time, but already-loaded content stays accessible.

Is it free for visitors?

Yes. Visitors never pay to use ShowDayGuide. The show organiser pays a flat platform fee based on show size, and that covers the digital programme for every visitor who arrives.

Does it replace the printed programme?

No. ShowDayGuide is designed as a companion to the printed programme, not a replacement. Shows can run digital-and-print together — many keep their printed programmes and add a QR code on the cover that scans to the digital version. Visitors choose which they prefer; many use both.

How does my show get on ShowDayGuide?

Show organisers create an account, set up the show via a guided wizard, upload or build a map, import the schedule, and add sections, classes and trophies. The platform is designed for self-service — a committee can set up a show in an evening. The platform fee is paid when the show goes live to visitors.

Is visitor data safe?

Yes. ShowDayGuide does not require visitor sign-up, does not sell visitor data, and does not share visitor information with advertisers or sponsors. Visitors who choose to opt in to push notifications can revoke at any time. Full details are in the privacy policy.
